🌍 Project Overview
This European Solidarity Corps Individual Volunteering opportunity takes place in Crotone, South Italy 🇮🇹, combining hostel management, youth education, community support, and sustainable tourism. Volunteers will actively contribute to the daily life of a social hostel while also supporting educational activities, youth engagement, and local solidarity initiatives throughout the year.

🛎️ Main Activities & Responsibilities
🏨 Supporting daily hostel management (reception, administration, room and space maintenance)
🧹 Participating in cleaning and organisation of hostel areas
📲 Creating content for website and social media
🧭 Supporting local trips and activities for young people
🏫 Assisting schools, educational meetings, and youth workshops (autumn & winter period)
🎤 Sharing your ESC experience to promote European opportunities among local youth
🎨 Organising workshops and activities for children and young people
🌿 Guiding groups and school classes to discover local cultural, historical, and natural heritage
🤝 Supporting food distribution activities for people in need with a local association

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Transport
🛏️ Accommodation inside the hostel in a shared double room with another volunteer
💶 Pocket money: 6€ per day
🍽️ Food support: 150€ per month
✈️ Travel costs reimbursed according to European Commission distance rules

🎓 Training & Support During the Activity
📚 Participation in ESC trainings organised by the Italian National Agency
🤝 Ongoing support from the coordinating organisation Associazione Joint
🌍 Learning-by-doing experience in hospitality, education, and community work

🏘️ Ready to live in a small town in South Italy
🌿 Enjoys open-air activities and community life
🤝 Open-minded, welcoming, and comfortable working with youth and hostel guests
🧹 Not afraid of hands-on tasks, including cleaning
🎨 Proactive, flexible, creative, and socially engaged
📲 Interested in social media and digital content creation
🚗 Driving licence is a plus
🇮🇹 High motivation to learn Italian (basic knowledge is an advantage)
