🌍 About the Volunteering Project

“Merry Go T.I.U.N.” is an ESC Team Volunteering project in Onești, Romania, bringing together 20 young volunteers from different countries to participate in community life, environmental activities and cultural initiatives.

The project combines farm life, community engagement and festival organisation. Volunteers will support activities at Perma Halos farm, participate in local community events and help organise the Merry Go Park Festival, a community festival dedicated especially to children and young people in Onești.

This intercultural experience offers participants the chance to develop practical skills, step outside their comfort zones and engage with local communities while living and working together in a rural environment.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Volunteer Activities

🌱 Support daily farm activities at Perma Halos
🎪 Help organise the Merry Go Park Festival in Onești
🎨 Facilitate creative and non-formal activities for local youth
👩‍🍳 Participate in community cooking and outdoor activities
🌳 Engage in environmental and rural development activities
🤝 Collaborate with volunteers from different cultural backgrounds

🏡 Accommodation, Food and Transport

🏠 Volunteers will live in shared community-style housing with common rooms, bathrooms and kitchen
🤝 Shared living encourages teamwork, responsibility and community spirit
🚌 Local transport between Onești town and Mănăstirea Cașin village will be provided
💶 Volunteers receive €240 per month covering food allowance and pocket money

📚 Training and Learning Opportunities

🤝 Week 1 focused on team-building and settling-in activities
🎪 Weeks 2–3 dedicated to preparing and implementing activities for the Merry Go Park Festival
🧘 Morning sessions such as yoga, meditation and sports activities
🎓 Participants will have opportunities to share their own skills and knowledge with the group
