About the Opportunity
🌱 This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering project is coordinated by PISTES SOLIDAIRES and hosted by Associação Juvenil de Deão (AJD) in Viana do Castelo region, Portugal 🇵🇹.
🤝 Founded in 1997, AJD works with young people from rural areas, promoting youth participation, volunteering, inclusion, equal opportunities, and environmental awareness through social, cultural, sports, and artistic activities.

What Will You Do?
🎨 Support youth workers in organising daily activities for children and young people
🌿 Propose and develop ideas to make the youth centre and playroom more “green”
🌱 Take part in the development of the AJD community garden
🧩 Create playful installations that promote learning through non-formal education
👧🧒 Work closely with children and young people in a rural environment
🤝 Contribute to inclusive, educational, and environmentally focused activities

Training & Learning Experience
🧠 Learning through practice in non-formal education settings
🌍 Daily mentoring and guidance from local youth workers
🤝 Hands-on experience in rural youth work and environmental education
🌱 Development of teamwork, creativity, and community engagement skills

Who Can Apply?
👤 Aged 18–30
🌍 Open-minded, respectful, and willing to step out of their comfort zone
🌿 Motivated to live and volunteer in a rural area
👧🧒 Interested in working with children and young people
🤝 Able and motivated to work in a team
🌱 Sensitive to environmental issues and nature protection
