🌍 About the Opportunity

Step into the digital heart of Europe! The European People’s Party (EPP Group) — the largest and oldest political group in the European Parliament — invites young graduates to join its Social Media Trainee Programme 2026 in Brussels.

This traineeship is an exceptional opportunity to develop creative, political, and digital skills in a truly international environment. Trainees will work directly within the Media & Digital Communication – Campaigns Directorate, gaining professional experience in online communication, video production, photography, or graphic design.

All positions are part of the EPP Group’s central social media team — where creative minds shape political storytelling every day.


💰 Compensation and Benefits

  • Monthly Allowance: €1,700 (to cover living costs in Brussels)
  • Reimbursement of mission travel to attend one plenary session in Strasbourg
  • Health, sickness, and accident insurance included
  • All necessary media and creative materials provided by the EPP Group

🧠 What You’ll Do

✍️ Social Media Coordinator / Content Creator

  • Support social media content creators in daily communication and campaign coordination
  • Draft and edit social media posts, newsletters, and interview content
  • Organize meetings, assist with event logistics, and monitor community engagement
  • Help analyze digital performance and reporting

🎥 Videographer

  • Assist in developing and editing social media videos
  • Subtitling, sound editing, and short-form video production (Reels, Stories, etc.)
  • Use Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop for high-quality outputs
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative video ideas

📸 Photographer

  • Take press and event photos, portraits, and thematic visuals for campaigns
  • Contribute to the internal photo database
  • Enhance photos using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Collaborate with the press and communications team

🎨 Graphic Designer

  • Design visuals for both online and offline media
  • Create infographics, templates, and visual concepts for social media
  • Work in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and preferably InDesign
  • Collaborate with content creators and strategists to design campaigns

🧩 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of an EU Member State or an associated/candidate country.
  • Have excellent command of at least two official EU languages (min. B2) — one must be English, French, or German.
  • Hold a university degree or have completed at least six semesters of higher education.
  • Have no prior paid traineeship in EU institutions or post-graduate employment.

For Photographer candidates only:

  • Hold a secondary or post-secondary diploma in Photography, Communication Design, or related field.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in Photoshop and Lightroom.
