Join this life-changing volunteering experience in Kampala, the vibrant capital of Uganda, and make a lasting impact on childrenโs education and future! ๐
The โVolunteer for Community School Supportโ project takes place at Treasure Junior School, a community-based initiative founded in 2009 to support orphans and vulnerable children affected by war and HIV/AIDS. Today, the school provides education and care for more than 270 children aged 3โ15 in one of Kampalaโs most underprivileged suburbs.
As an ESC volunteer, youโll contribute to classroom teaching, creative learning activities, and digital skills development, empowering both students and teachers. Youโll help create joyful learning spaces, share European values, and support local efforts for inclusion and education for all.
๐ฏ Main Activities
๐ฉโ๐ซ Assist as a Co-Teacher โ Support lessons in English, mathematics, or creative subjects.
๐จ Facilitate Arts, Music, and Sports โ Lead fun co-curricular sessions in drawing, dance, and physical education.
๐ป Digital Empowerment โ Support computer training and basic digital literacy for students and staff.
๐ Online Visibility โ Help create a simple school website or social media pages (optional, based on your skills).
๐ค Capacity Building โ Train local teachers on pedagogical tools and innovative teaching methods.
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Transport
๐ Youโll stay in a shared apartment with other volunteers, each having a private, lockable room.
๐ฝ Youโll receive a monthly allowance to cover food, local transport, and communication expenses.
๐ต For local mobility, Matatus (commuter taxis) and Boda Bodas (motorbikes) are common and affordable.
๐ง Electricity, running water, and basic facilities are available in the accommodation.

Weโre looking for enthusiastic, creative, and compassionate young volunteers (18โ30 years old) who are:

Comfortable working with children and adapting to different cultures

Friendly, positive, and emotionally resilient

Fluent in English

Experienced or interested in teaching, arts, or digital skills
