๐ฃ About the Hosting Organization:
AAP (Animal Advocacy and Protection) is a leading European animal welfare NGO that rescues exotic animals from illegal trade, circuses, private ownership, and other abusive environments. The AAP Primadomus center in Villena, Spain, is home to rescued Barbary macaques, chimpanzees, tigers, lions, and more.
๐ฆ Your Role as a Volunteer:
As a volunteer, youโll work across two key departments โ the Primate Unit and the Big Cats Unit โ under the supervision of experienced animal caretakers. Your duties will include:
- ๐งน Cleaning animal enclosures (approx. 70% of your tasks)
- ๐พ Preparing enrichment activities and materials
- ๐ Assisting in designing and setting up animal living spaces
- ๐ฅฉ Helping with food preparation and feeding
- ๐ง Minor maintenance and monitoring animal behavior
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Reporting issues to senior caretakers
๐ก Accommodation & Benefits:

- Aged 18โ30
- Dutch nationality
- Physically fit and emotionally mature

- Able to adapt to both independent tasks and dynamic teamwork
