Wet moorland, mountain fences, invasive exotic species, and a team of volunteers working to protect some of the Basque region’s most precious natural sites. This ESC team project in France is for people who want to do conservation work that is genuinely hands-on โ no office, no screen, just nature and the people you are working with.
Association Concordia โ through Concordia Aquitaine โ has created this project in collaboration with nature specialists from the area and the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels (Conservatory of Natural Areas). Together, they are opening their work to international volunteers willing to get stuck into real conservation tasks across multiple natural sites in the Basque region.
What Is This Role About?
The project focuses on protecting natural sites in the Basque region through practical, physical conservation work. Volunteers move between different sites in the middle of nature, contributing to tasks that require care, teamwork, and a genuine connection to the landscape around them.
