๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡น ESC Volunteering in Malta ๐ŸŒฑ Food Systems, Biodiversity & Environmental Advocacy at Friends of the Earth ๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡น ESC Volunteering in Malta ๐ŸŒฑ Food Systems, Biodiversity & Environmental Advocacy at Friends of the Earth ๐ŸŒ

Food policy, biodiversity protection, community action, and a volunteer role that connects all of them. This ESC placement in Malta puts you inside one of the country’s most comprehensive environmental campaigns โ€” working at the intersection of food systems, climate action, and public health advocacy.

Friends of the Earth Malta (FoEM) is one of Malta’s leading environmental organisations, and their FAB campaign โ€” Food, Agriculture, and Biodiversity โ€” is exactly what it sounds like: ambitious, evidence-based, and rooted in real community work. As a volunteer, you become part of the campaign team, supporting research, events, advocacy, and outreach while helping make plant-based living in Malta more accessible and connecting sustainable diets with environmental protection.

โš ๏ธ Applications must be submitted through the FoEM website โ€” not through the EU Youth Portal.

What Is This Role About?

This is a wide-ranging, policy-meets-community role. You will be contributing to an evidence-based strategy that links food systems, biodiversity, public health, and EU-level environmental policy โ€” while also doing the day-to-day work of building relationships, organising events, and supporting the people and communities who make grassroots campaigns actually work.
