🌍 About the Volunteering Project

This ESC volunteering opportunity takes place in Milena, Sicily (Italy) and focuses on cultural activities, community development and social initiatives.

Volunteers will support the activities of a local social organisation working in the fields of art, culture, tourism and youth engagement. The project includes collaboration with municipalities, local organisations and cultural initiatives that promote creativity and community participation.

A key part of the volunteering experience will be supporting the organisation of Festival Mi Fa Sol, assisting with event preparation, logistics and cultural activities in the region.

The organisation is also involved in the RabArt cultural project in Sutera, funded by the Italian Ministry of Culture, and collaborates with innovative tourism initiatives such as the Sicilian Ancient Grains Museum project (G.A.S. Lab).

🎭 Volunteer Activities

🎪 Support the organisation of Festival Mi Fa Sol and cultural events
🤝 Assist with logistics and staff coordination during festivals and activities

🏡 Accommodation, Food and Transport

🏠 Volunteers will stay in a furnished apartment close to the city centre of Milena
🍽 Volunteers receive monthly pocket money and food allowance
🏙 Accommodation is located near the main working place Magazzino Culturale “Ex Oleificio”
👥 The apartment will host only the volunteers participating in the project
