๐ About the Volunteering Project
This ESC Individual Volunteering project takes place in Zagreb, Croatia and focuses on promoting Roma inclusion, human rights and social equality.
Volunteers will support activities organised by the Roma National Council that aim to raise awareness about ethnic diversity, minority rights, democratic participation and social inclusion. The project combines media production, community outreach and civic engagement initiatives that address discrimination and promote equality.
Participants will have the opportunity to work in an international team and contribute to campaigns and projects that support Roma communities and other minorities in Croatia.
๐งโ๐ป Volunteer Activities
๐ Write articles in English for the organisationโs portal and podcast
๐ค Support media production including photo editing, video editing and graphic design
๐ฑ Assist with social media management and digital communication
๐ซ Organise and support workshops in schools
๐ถ Participate in street campaigns and awareness actions
๐ Contribute to initiatives countering hate speech
๐ก Develop and implement individual volunteer projects
๐ก Accommodation, Food and Transport
๐ Accommodation and office space provided in a fully equipped facility in Zagreb
๐ฝ Volunteers receive a monthly food allowance and pocket money
โ๏ธ Travel costs to and from Zagreb covered according to ESC travel rules
๐ Transport costs related to project activities within Croatia are covered
๐ Training and Learning Opportunities
๐ Croatian language learning opportunities
๐ Training on Croatian history and the Southeast Europe region
โ Educational sessions about Roma culture, history and identity
๐ Training in media writing and civil society activism
๐ On-arrival and mid-term training organised by the Croatian National Agency
