This European Solidarity Corps Individual Volunteering opportunity takes place in Brussels, Belgium ๐ง๐ช, within a European-level advocacy environment focused on disability rights, independent living, and social inclusion. Volunteers will actively contribute to policy advocacy, awareness-raising, and communication work supporting the rights of persons with disabilities across Europe, while gaining hands-on experience in EU-level civic engagement.
๐ฏ Main Activities & Responsibilities
โฟ Supporting advocacy work on disability rights and independent living
๐ Contributing to policy-related activities, publications, and position papers
๐ฐ Writing articles and content for newsletters, websites, and communication materials
๐ Engaging in European-level awareness and inclusion initiatives
๐ค Working in a small, international team environment
๐ฃ๏ธ Learning about EU decision-making processes related to social inclusion and human rights
๐ Accommodation, Food & Transport
๐ก Accommodation fully covered by the European Solidarity Corps
๐ Local transport and travel costs covered
๐ถ Monthly pocket money provided (food and transport covered separately)
โฟ Additional support provided for accessibility needs, including personal assistance where required

๐ Introductory training covering all areas of work within the first two weeks

โฟ Young person identifying as a disabled person
๐ Strong interest in disability rights and human rights activism
๐ป Basic computer and digital skills
๐ฃ๏ธ Good working knowledge of English
๐ค Positive, proactive, and collaborative mindset

๐ Willingness to relocate to Brussels, Belgium for the full volunteering period
