This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering opportunity is hosted by FUNDACIรN HERMANOS OBREROS DE MARรA and takes place in Granada, Spain ๐ช๐ธ.
The project focuses on social inclusion, education, and empowerment of vulnerable children and young people, addressing current social challenges such as equal access to education and employment, intercultural coexistence, gender equality, and prevention of abuse or maltreatment.
Volunteers become part of an educational centre where formal and non-formal education go hand in hand, working closely with educators, social workers, and volunteers to support minors, young migrants, refugees, and young people at risk of social exclusion.
๐ฏ Main Activities & Responsibilities
๐ Supporting formal and non-formal educational activities
๐ค Working with children and young people from vulnerable backgrounds
๐ Promoting intercultural dialogue, tolerance, and respect for diversity
โ๏ธ Supporting actions on gender equality and abuse prevention
๐ง Helping young people develop employability and entrepreneurship skills
๐ ๏ธ Assisting in activities that strengthen life skills for the labour market
๐ฅ Collaborating with teachers, social workers, and volunteers
๐ Contributing to an integrated educational and social intervention approach
๐ Accommodation, Food & Living Conditions
๐ซ Accommodation and food fully provided by the host organisation
๐๏ธ Volunteers live inside the same educational centre where activities take place
๐๏ธ Fixed vacation periods during Easter, August, and Christmas (as defined by the organisation)
๐ฝ๏ธ Daily living fully organised within the hosting entity
๐ Training & Support During the Activity
๐ Ongoing trainings on specific topics related to youth work and social education
๐ค Continuous guidance from experienced educators and staff
๐ง Learning through direct practice in social and educational intervention

๐ 18โ30 years old
๐ Background or interest in social education, youth work, or volunteering
โค๏ธ High motivation to work with vulnerable groups
๐ Open-minded attitude towards diversity, integration, and equality
๐ค Respectful, tolerant, and committed to social inclusion values
๐ Experience with minors, migrants, refugees, or young people at risk is an advantage
