About the Opportunity

🇬🇷 This ESC group volunteering project takes place at Dio Pigadia in Pylos, Greece — a creative, sustainability-focused community where volunteers transform reclaimed and natural materials into eco-friendly structures.
Tiny houses, compost toilets, bird shelters, adobe bricks, cob buildings… you will learn and build all of these while living close to nature.

🌱 Possible activities include:
– Designing and building a cob tiny house
– Constructing structures using upcycled & natural materials
– Learning cob and adobe brick techniques
– Creating wildlife and farm animal shelters
– Building compost toilets, outdoor furniture and eco-spaces
– Contributing to a permaculture community and regenerative lifestyle

Accommodation, Food & Transport

⛺ Accommodation in a comfortable on-site canvas tent
🥗 Vegetarian meals twice a day using garden vegetables & local organic products
🍞 Sourdough bread baked every Friday in a cob oven
🍽️ Shared lunches and dinners; rotating cooking and cleaning duties
🚲 Bicycles available; lifts to the city can be arranged

Participant Profile

Open to motivated 18–30-year-old volunteers who enjoy hands-on outdoor work, teamwork, sustainability, and creative building.
No previous experience needed — curiosity, passion and willingness to learn are what matter.
