🇳🇱 ESC Volunteering in the Netherlands – BioArt Village: Sustainability, Nature & Hands-on Learning in Eindhoven! 🌿🐴🔧

🌍 About the Project

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind European Solidarity Corps experience that blends nature, sustainability, and creativity! 🌎 Hosted by Stichting BioArt Laboratories in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, the BioArt Village – Solidarity project invites passionate volunteers to live and work in an off-grid environment surrounded by forest and animals. 🇳🇱✨

This is your chance to step out of your comfort zone and join a project focused on eco-living, animal care, and green maintenance. You’ll contribute to the daily rhythm of the BioArt Village — a place where nature, art, and science meet to promote sustainable lifestyles and solidarity.

If you love working outdoors, care about the planet, and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty, this experience will transform the way you live and see the world! 🌱

💪 What You Will Do

Volunteers will be part of a small, motivated team supporting the daily life and development of the BioArt Village. Your main tasks include:

  • 🐮 Animal Care: Feed and look after cows, pigs, horses, sheep, chickens, geese, and other animals living on-site.
  • 🪵 Green Maintenance: Assist with gardening, permaculture, landscaping, and nature conservation work.
  • 🔨 Renovation & Sustainability: Help restore old buildings and create sustainable structures in line with eco-principles.
  • 🌻 Daily Living Activities: Maintain shared living areas, support with eco-friendly cooking, and participate in the community’s off-grid lifestyle.

Each day brings new challenges — from repairing fences to planting crops or caring for the animals — all within a peaceful forest environment.

🏡 Accommodation, Meals & Allowances

  • 🏠 Accommodation: Provided on-site at BioArt Village, surrounded by nature within Eindhoven city limits. The area is off-grid, with shared kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces.
  • 🍽️ Food Allowance: Provided monthly — volunteers cook their own meals.
  • 💶 Pocket Money: Included in the ESC allowance package.
  • 🚴 Transport: Shops and city centre are about 20 minutes away by bike.
  • ✈️ Airport Nearby: Convenient travel access from Eindhoven Airport.

Living off-grid means simplicity and sustainability — the perfect setting for those who appreciate minimalism, teamwork, and eco-living. 🌿

🎓 Training & Learning Opportunities

  • 🧭 Hands-on Training: Learn about animal care, green maintenance, permaculture gardening, and renovation techniques.
  • 💡 Sustainability in Action: Experience off-grid living and eco-friendly design principles firsthand.
  • 🌍 Personal Growth: Develop teamwork, independence, and resilience while contributing to a solidarity-based community.
  • 📜 Youthpass Certificate: Recognizing your learning outcomes and personal development during the project.
