Join an inspiring European Solidarity Corps opportunity hosted by ADRA OPS in partnership with Ekumenska Humanitarna Organizacija (EHO) in Novi Sad, Serbia! ๐ท๐ธ
This project brings together volunteers who wish to empower elderly and socially vulnerable individuals through creativity, culture, and human connection.
As a Senior Club and Art Corner Assistant, youโll help reduce social isolation and foster inclusion through creative workshops, intergenerational exchange, and cultural activities. ๐ฟ๐จ
Your daily tasks will include:
๐ญ Assisting with art, music, and storytelling sessions for seniors
๐งถ Organising handicraft and painting workshops in the Senior Club
๐ฃ๏ธ Supporting group discussions and social gatherings
๐ผ๏ธ Helping develop the EHO Art Corner โ an exhibition space for handmade works
๐ฌ Collaborating with social workers and volunteers to ensure everyone feels valued and included
Through this project, youโll contribute to a kinder, more connected community โ proving that creativity and compassion have no age limits. ๐
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Travel
- Volunteers will live in aย fully furnished shared apartmentย in Novi Sad, each having aย private bedroom. ๐
- Monthly allowance:ย โฌ470ย (covering food, communication, and local transport).
- Transport to project sites will primarily be viaย public transport, with EHO vehicles available if needed. ๐
- The hosting organisation provides aย safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, ensuring full logistical and emotional support throughout your stay. ๐ค
๐งญ Training & Support
Before and during your activity, youโll receive targeted training to develop your skills and confidence:
๐ Understanding the psychological and emotional needs of elderly and vulnerable adults
๐จ Learning creative facilitation methods (art therapy, storytelling, memory workshops)
๐ Building intercultural communication and empathy in multi-age, multi-ethnic settings
๐งฉ Exploring active aging and inclusion strategies within community-based initiatives
๐ Gaining practical skills in project planning, event organisation, and impact evaluation
These sessions will prepare you to design inclusive, meaningful activities and connect deeply with the local community. ๐บ

We are looking for empathetic, creative, and community-oriented volunteers who believe that aging should never mean exclusion.
Ideal candidates are:

Aged 18โ30 from ESC-eligible countries

Passionate about art, culture, and social inclusion
โ
Patient, open-minded, and able to listen and connect with others
โ
Interested in intergenerational learning and community work
โ
Motivated to engage in teamwork and intercultural exchange
Backgrounds in art, education, psychology, or social work are welcome but not required. What matters most is your motivation to make a difference. ๐๐ซ
