โจ About the Project
Young people today are deeply aware of both the climate crisis ๐๐ฅ and the struggles for gender equality โ๏ธโ โ yet these issues are often tackled separately. Ecofeminism provides a holistic framework to connect environmental justice with feminist values.
This training course, hosted by Creative Connections Norway (CCN), will build the capacity of youth workers to integrate ecofeminism into their practice, promoting critical thinking, activism, and community engagement.
๐ฏ Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Understand ecofeminism and its role in the feminist movement ๐ฟโ๏ธ
- Explore connections between ecological degradation, patriarchy, and oppression systems (capitalism, colonialism, racism) ๐งฉ
- Identify dominant narratives in media, politics, and culture ๐
- Critically reflect on youth realities shaped by both gender and environmental inequalities ๐ฌ
- Integrate ecofeminist practices into youth work & inspire activism ๐
๐ Methodology
- Strongly based onย experiential learningย with reflection sessions.
- Non-formal education tools, teamwork, and creative activities.
- Guided by an experienced ecofeminist trainer team.
- Hosted in Balestrandโsย Art Factory & Ciderhuset, blending nature, art, and activism. ๐จ๐
๐ฅ Participant Requirements
- Active members of youth organisations with a valid OID number.
- Passionate aboutย feminism & environmental justice.
- Good English communication skills.
- Aged 18+, legally resident in Erasmus+ programme countries.
โ ๏ธ Applications from individuals not part of an organisation or without sufficient English skills will not be accepted.

- Dorm-style shared rooms (4โ5 beds, bunk beds) ๐๏ธ
- Buffet meals catering for all dietary needs ๐ด
- Simple but comfortable setting in Balestrandโs artistic environment ๐จ
