🏛️ About the Internship
NATO’s annual internship programme gives students and recent graduates from NATO member countries the chance to:
- Gain real-world experience in international relations, defense, security policy, and communications.
- Work directly with NATO divisions on current and pressing global issues.
- Network with international experts and policy-makers.
📅 Internship Start Dates:
- September 2025
- March 2026
🕐 Duration: 6 to 8 months
✅ Eligibility Criteria:
- Be 21 years or older at the start of the internship
- Be a citizen of a NATO member country
- Have at least 2 years of university studies completed, and:
- Be currently enrolled in the third year or higher, OR
- Have obtained their highest degree less than 1 year ago
- Have proficiency in English or French (knowledge of both is an asset)
- Must have health insurance coverage and complete registration with Belgian authorities
- Must obtain security clearance from national authorities
