46 Fully Funded ESC Placements Are Closing 19 to 25 October 2026: Don't Miss Romania, Greece, France and 17 More Countries

Youth Works Hub has rounded up 46 fully funded ESC volunteering placements closing between 19 and 25 October 2026. The calls are spread across 20 countries, from Latvia, Italy and Spain to Uganda, Georgia and Türkiye, and from children's day centres to a medieval castle, a bowling event for athletes with intellectual disabilities and a city administration in Trier. Romania alone has 11 calls, six in Panciu and four 52-week placements in Timișoara, followed by Greece with four. Our guide to what the European Solidarity Corps is explains how the programme works.

Each call has its own angle:

🇮🇹 Italy: a team of eight lives and works in a medieval ecovillage in the hills above Ventimiglia, from permaculture farming to solidarity actions for refugees and asylum seekers.

🇬🇷 Greece: volunteers discover the birdlife of urban parks in Thessaloniki through photography, bird walks and a public exhibition.

🇺🇬 Uganda: a 30-week humanitarian aid placement in Kampala introduces learner-centred teaching methods at a community school.

🇫🇷 France: volunteers help maintain a medieval castle and its garden and create wooden games for visitors.

🇩🇪 Germany: volunteers support the Mayor's office in Trier's cross-border cooperation within the QuattroPole network.

🇷🇴 Romania: four 52-week placements in Timișoara support non-formal education, environmental campaigns and digital education in schools and kindergartens.

🇷🇸 Serbia: humanitarian aid placements in Belgrade and Novi Pazar cover social inclusion, communication and project support.

🇹🇷 Türkiye: a 30-day team in Sorgun learns about disaster preparedness, first aid, climate change and search and rescue.

Taken together, the batch suits young people who want to volunteer abroad in youth work, education, social inclusion, disability support, communication or environmental work. Several calls are team projects, such as the 30-day teams in Türkiye and the three-week team in Thessaloniki, a format explained in our guide to ESC Volunteering Teams. Six calls in Serbia, Uganda and Georgia are humanitarian aid placements, covered in our guide to ESC Humanitarian Aid Volunteering, and five calls are open only to residents of a single country, so check who each call is open to first.

European Solidarity Corps volunteering is fully funded: travel, accommodation, food, pocket money and insurance are covered. According to Youth Works Hub's review, five calls close on 19 October 2026, two in Latvia and one each in Italy, Romania and Spain, and 15 close the next day, on 20 October 2026.

What do these fully funded ESC placements cover?

European Solidarity Corps volunteering is fully funded, covering travel, accommodation, food, pocket money and insurance. The calls also list their own support: a Romanian language course and a Youthpass certificate in Timișoara, Catalan lessons in Sant Cugat del Vallès, a Polish course in Wrocław, and online pre-departure training with support to learn the local language in Kampala. Who can apply for these ESC volunteering placements?

Most calls are open to applicants from a list of countries, and five are open only to residents of a single country. The placements in Skopje and Kállósemjén are open to residents of Türkiye, the Trier and Viana do Castelo calls to residents of France, and the Wrocław kindergartens call to residents of Italy. Which ESC deadline closes first?

Five calls close first, on 19 October 2026: two in Latvia and one each in Italy, Romania and Spain.Fifteen calls follow on 20 October, nine of them in Romania, then two in Türkiye on 21 October, five on 22 October, nine on 23 October, two on 24 October and eight on 25 October, in France, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Greece and Poland.
