Volunteer at L’Arche Vilnius – Share Everyday Life with Adults with Intellectual Disabilities

At L’Arche Vilnius, adults with intellectual disabilities and those who support them share everyday life, build friendships, and create a home where everyone belongs. We welcome volunteers to join us at our community home in Cekoniskes, near Vilnius.

Volunteering takes place in the afternoons . As a volunteer, you will spend time with our community members, getting to know their interests and sharing yours. Activities include preparing meals together, helping to clean and keep shared spaces tidy, going for walks, playing games, and joining celebrations. Sometimes, the most meaningful contribution is simply sitting down for a cup of tea and taking the time to listen.

You do not need special qualifications to join us. What matters most is openness, patience, respect, and a willingness to get to know each person. Our team will introduce you to community life and support you along the way.

Volunteering here is about building relationships, learning from one another, and discovering the joy in ordinary moments shared together.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers would live in a flats with other volunteers together. Everyone here has a separate room but shared kitchen and showers

Training during the activity

Volunteers will get on arrival and mid term training organized by national agency. Also organize monthly meetings for volunteers
