Description

Join CADIR in Valencia, Spain, and contribute to a more inclusive community for people with disabilities and young people in vulnerable situations. Volunteers will support our team in organising inclusive educational, cultural and leisure activities, assist with training workshops, and accompany participants in daily and community activities. They will also help prepare awareness campaigns, co-create intercultural events, and share their experiences through social media and other communication activities. The project promotes equal opportunities, participation and European solidarity, including initiatives supporting women with disabilities. Volunteers will collaborate with CADIR professionals and local participants, bringing their ideas and cultural perspectives while learning from the community.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will stay in fully equipped shared apartments in Valencia, with access to public transport. Accommodation and utilities will be covered. A monthly food allowance will enable volunteers to prepare meals in the shared kitchen. A public transport card will be provided for local travel related to the activity. Arrangements will take account of dietary requirements, accessibility and individual support needs.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive an initial orientation on CADIR, their tasks, health and safety, and intercultural adaptation. Throughout the activity, they will receive training on disability inclusion, communication, teamwork and digital skills. A task supervisor will provide practical guidance, while a dedicated mentor will support their well-being and learning. Spanish language support will be available according to individual needs. Volunteers will receive guidance to reflect on their learning and document their achievements through Youthpass.

Participant profile

We are looking for young people interested in disability inclusion, equal opportunities and community participation. We welcome volunteers who are willing to learn, work in a team and contribute their ideas to inclusive activities. No previous experience, qualifications or specific language skills are required. Young people with fewer opportunities are particularly encouraged to apply. Support will be adapted to individual needs to enable meaningful participation. Basic knowledge of Spanish will be considered an advantage.
