π About the Project
Join FΓ©dasil Rixensart, a center for asylum seekers located 25 km from Brussels, offering shelter and support to 220 residents, including 40 unaccompanied minors. Volunteers will engage in educational, social, and leisure activities for both children and adults, while also contributing to community awareness on asylum and migration issues.
π Your Role as a Volunteer:

Support children & teenagers with their schooling
β
Organize cultural & leisure activities for residents
β
Help in raising awareness about migration in the local community
β
Assist women & families in daily life and social integration
π Accommodation, Food & Transport
β Shared accommodation with another volunteer
β Monthly food & pocket money allowance
β Travel card provided for accessing nearby cities (30 km from Rixensart)
π Training & Development
π 2 ESC Seminars (On-arrival & Mid-term)
π Training on asylum policy & psychosocial support
π¬ Possibility to attend French lessons if needed

Aged 18-30, with an interest in migration & asylum issues

Empathetic, open-minded & flexible in diverse social settings

Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Able to adapt to working with individuals experiencing trauma

Basic knowledge of French is a plus (for communication with staff)
