Solidarités Jeunesses MCP is offering a year-long ESC volunteering placement at Sem&Vol in Cause de Clérans — for young people who like manual work, nature, and collective life, or who are simply curious to discover what that feels like.
🏡 About Sem&Vol and Solidarités Jeunesses
Solidarités Jeunesses is a national non-formal education movement composed of a National Secretary in Paris and eight regional delegations across France. Sem&Vol is the Aquitaine delegation — founded in 2013 in the Dordogne — welcoming international volunteers throughout the year. The house belongs to those who live in it: community living is not a side element of this project, it is the project.
📋 What You’ll Do
🔨 Daily workcamp — minor masonry work, woodwork, painting, and environmental work (approximately 35 hours/week)
🎭 Organise and participate in local intercultural activities and events
🤝 Build networks between local partners and associations
📣 Promote the association and volunteering in the local area
🌍 Lead international workcamps during the summer — full training provided throughout the year
🎓 Attend two seminars organised by the French National Agency
👥 Participate in a volunteering meeting with all Solidarités Jeunesses volunteers across France
🏠 Accommodation
🏡 Shared house with other volunteers — community living is central to the experience
🧹 Daily life responsibilities are shared — cooking, cleaning, and caring for the home together
📍 Located in Cause de Clérans, Dordogne — a small, welcoming village of 300 inhabitants in rural France
👤 Who Should Apply
This placement is open to everyone aged 18–30 from EU and partner countries. No specific competencies are required — what matters is:

🌿 Interest in or curiosity about manual work, nature, and collective life
🌍 Openness to discovering new cultures
🚗 A driving licence is highly recommended — given the rural location
