Srebrenica carries a weight that few places in Europe match. It is also a place where solidarity, intercultural dialogue, and active youth participation are not just programme keywords โ€” they are a lived necessity. The International Youth Work Camp, hosted by International Forum of Solidarity EMMAUS and coordinated by Associazione Basilicata Link APS, brings together young people from across Europe for 14 days of volunteering, community support, and intercultural learning in Srebrenica and Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

๐Ÿ•๏ธ About the Project

This ESC team volunteering project aims to promote solidarity, intercultural dialogue, teamwork, and active youth participation through shared volunteering activities. Participants will engage in community support actions, group activities, and intercultural learning โ€” and will also have the opportunity to take part in the Camp Olympics and the Silver Frame Film Festival on 16 and 18 July.

๐Ÿ“‹ What You’ll Do

๐Ÿค Participate in volunteering and community support actions in Srebrenica and Doboj

๐ŸŒ Engage in intercultural learning and group activities with young people from across Europe

๐Ÿ… Take part in Camp Olympics โ€” sports and recreational team challenges

๐ŸŽฌ Participate in the Silver Frame Film Festival โ€” a cultural highlight of the camp

๐ŸŽญ Contribute to shared group activities promoting solidarity and active citizenship

๐Ÿ  Accommodation

The accommodation is located in Potoฤari, Srebrenica and includes:

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Private shower and toilet, bed linen set, small desk, hair dryer, wardrobe, internet access, and laundry by employees

๐ŸŸ๏ธ Sports fields and rooms for sports and various activities on site

๐ŸŒณ A nearby sports and recreational centre and picnic area where additional activities are organised

๐Ÿ‘ค Who Should Apply

The project is open to young people aged 18โ€“30 who:

๐ŸŽญ Are interested in culture, events, community involvement, and film

โฑ๏ธ Have not yet reached the 12-month ESC volunteering limit

๐Ÿ’ก Bring enthusiasm and willingness to contribute โ€” no specific educational or professional background required

The volunteer group will consist of a minimum of 5 international volunteers.
