Good youth work doesn’t happen by accident. It’s designed, facilitated, and delivered by people who know what they’re doing โ and who keep getting better at it. Equipping Youth Workers with Necessary Competences is a fully funded Erasmus+ training course in Erba, Italy, built for youth workers, trainers, teachers, and volunteers who want to sharpen their non-formal education skills and become more confident, more effective facilitators.
๐ฏ About the Training Course
Organised by Global Circle (Italy) with partners from Albania, Romania, Spain, and Hungary, this training course gives participants a solid, practical grounding in non-formal education โ from planning and session design to group facilitation, public speaking, and adapting activities for disadvantaged groups. The entire programme is fully funded by Erasmus+ with no participation fee.
๐ Objectives
๐ง Develop a solid understanding of non-formal education โ including planning, delivery, and adaptation to disadvantaged groups
๐ ๏ธ Strengthen practical skills in session design, facilitation, public speaking, and group management
๐ช Increase confidence in leading and facilitating non-formal educational activities
๐ค Explore and exchange approaches with youth workers from five European countries
๐ค Who Should Apply
This training is open to youth workers, trainers, teachers, and volunteers aged 18+ who are:
๐ Residents of one of the partner countries: Albania, Italy, Romania, Hungary, or Spain
๐ฃ๏ธ English speakers โ a communicative level of English is required to fully participate
๐ก Motivated and genuinely interested in the topic
๐ Available for the entire programme โ arriving later or leaving earlier is not permitted
โ ๏ธ Membership in one of the partner organisations is not mandatory.
Selection process: Applications are reviewed based on profile and motivation. Top applicants will be invited to a video interview. Check your inbox (and spam folder) after applying โ all confirmations are sent by email.
โ ๏ธ Do not book any tickets before receiving a confirmation email from the organisers.

The training takes place at Oasi di Erba.

๐ฝ๏ธ Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two coffee breaks provided at the venue throughout the training

To reach Erba, fly to Milan (Malpensa, Bergamo, or Linate Airport), then:
๐ Take the bus or train to Milano Centrale or Cadorna
๐ Take the green metro line from Milano Centrale to Cadorna
๐ From Cadorna train station, take the train to Erba
๐ถ Walk 14 minutes (900m) to Oasi di Erba
