“The body is not an object to be fixed, but a process to be experienced.” โ€” Thomas Hanna

Some training courses fill your notebook. Embodied Unity fills something else. This is an Erasmus+ training course in the foothills of the Izera Mountains in south-west Poland, built around a genuinely different premise: that real learning โ€” for youth workers and for the people they work with โ€” starts in the body, not the head.

๐ŸŒฑ About Embodied Unity

Embodied Unity is an international training course offering a holistic, body-based approach to personal development, community building, and youth work. Through embodiment, mindfulness, musical improvisation, and relational practices, participants reconnect with themselves and each other โ€” developing emotional intelligence, grounding, and the capacity to create safe, inclusive spaces for the young people they work with.

The approach is experiential. Learning happens through doing โ€” through movement, breath, sound, and presence โ€” not through slides or lectures. The venue, the programme, and the sobriety policy (no alcohol or drugs throughout the project) are all chosen with the same intention: to create the conditions for something real.

๐Ÿ“‹ What You’ll Explore

๐Ÿง˜ Deepen presence in your body and awareness of your inner state

โค๏ธ Reconnect with your emotions, needs, and bodily sensations while learning to regulate them

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Practice mindfulness, somatic tools, and artistic expression for grounding, stress release, and emotional intelligence development

๐Ÿ’ƒ Explore movement and body awareness practices โ€” contact improvisation, breathwork, intuitive movement and dance โ€” that support community building

๐ŸŽต Boost creative energy through musical and other improvisational methods

๐Ÿค Learn how to build safe, supportive connections and co-create spaces of trust and empathy for others

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Gain practical tools and confidence to apply embodied approaches in youth work, community spaces, and daily life

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ The Training Team

Sylwia Nowak โ€” self-awareness guide, youth leader, and vice-president of Freedom Universe Foundation. Facilitates Erasmus+ projects and workshops around self-connection, deep listening, and intuitive dance. Graduated in Pedagogy with Coaching, Dance and Art Therapy, and the Holistic School for Trainers.

Sanyi Lล‘rincz โ€” trainer with nearly 20 years of dance experience, integrating somatic and mindfulness-based practices with a Gestalt-centred approach. Believes in the transformative power of human connection and presence.

Nicola Lazazzara โ€” trainer and educator with a background in formal musical education and improv theatre. After 8 years of Vipassana meditation and body awareness practices, he believes the body is the most effective pathway to quality relationships and mental wellbeing.

๐Ÿก The Venue โ€” Dolina Harmonii

The retreat centre Dolina Harmonii sits at the foothills of the Izera Mountains in south-west Poland โ€” a remote, natural setting surrounded by hills, meadows, and forests, chosen specifically to support the kind of deep learning this programme requires.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Shared rooms of 2โ€“4 people, some with shared bathrooms

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ 3 meals per day plus tea, coffee, and snack breaks โ€” all vegetarian and vegan

๐Ÿšซ Sobriety policy applies at all times, including during time off

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Project Phases

This project has four active phases โ€” all are mandatory:

๐Ÿ“Š Evaluation โ€” online evaluation of the training’s impact

โš ๏ธ Coming later or leaving earlier than the programme dates is not possible. You may arrive or depart up to 2 days before or after โ€” but food and accommodation will not be provided for those extra days.
