🌍 About the Project

Since 1987, Il Ce.Sto has worked to promote integration and social inclusion among diverse ethnic groups in Genoa’s historical center, focusing on:

• Minors, second-generation migrants, and other neighborhood actors.
• Creating educational, recreational, and creative opportunities for multicultural communities.

🌟 Key Responsibilities:

• Support the daily management of refugees and asylum seekers.
• Assist with integration and socialization activities, including Italian courses, sports, and cultural events.
• Provide legal and health support and help with job market integration.
• Organize cultural and intercultural activities/events in the Luzzati area.

🛋 Accommodation, Food, and Transport

🏠 Accommodation:

• Shared apartment in Genoa with double/triple rooms.

🍴 Allowance:

• 6 EUR/day for pocket money and food, or a food allowance.

✈️ Travel Expenses:

• Reimbursed according to European Commission guidelines.

📚 Training and Support

• Training Opportunities:
  • On-arrival, mid-term, and final evaluation sessions by the Italian National Agency.
  • Additional training organized by P.E.CO. for volunteers in Genoa.
• Targeted training on working with migrant and refugee populations.

👥 Participant Profile

We’re looking for a volunteer who:

• Is at least 24 years old.
• Can commit to the entire project duration.
• Is flexible, adaptable, and open-minded.
• Has a cheerful personality but can handle sensitive and complex situations.
• Is motivated to work in a multicultural environment and foster community development.
• Has a good knowledge of English and is willing to learn Italian.
