Are you ready for an authentic rural adventure in the French Alps? 🇫🇷✨ Solidarités Jeunesses (Les Villages des Jeunes) invites you to join the Hameau de Vaunières, a 17th-century village transformed into a vibrant community hub. In this project, you will live and work in a collective setting, helping to revive abandoned sites through gardening, manual labor, and technical workshops. If you crave nature, social connection, and a chance to experience communal living in a stunning isolated landscape, this is the perfect opportunity for you! 🚀🏡🏔️

🌍 Did You Know? The Hameau de Vaunières dates back to the 1600s and has been managed by the association since 1964 to promote social and generational diversity! 🏚️✨

Diverse Volunteer Missions

🛠️ Manual Labor: Contributing to ongoing renovation projects and the maintenance of historic village buildings.
🌻 Gardening & Nature: Taking care of the green spaces and supporting the local ecosystem.
🤝 Group Animation: Hosting diverse groups and leading technical or creative workshops for visitors.
🍲 Collective Life: Actively participating in daily village life, including kitchen support and managing communal spaces.

Training & Learning Opportunities

🏗️ Workcamp Leading: Potential to participate in courses on how to lead an international volunteer workcamp.
🗣️ Soft Skills: Training in non-violent communication and intercultural dialogue.
🚗 Autonomy: While not mandatory, having a driving license is a huge plus due to the village’s isolated location!

Accommodation & Logistics

🏠 Housing: Staying in “Les 3 Roues” or the Auberge in shared rooms with 1-2 other volunteers.
💶 Fully Funded: Accommodation, food, and pocket money are provided through the ESC program.
🚲 Life in the Wild: Experience a truly isolated and quiet location—perfect for nature lovers!
