๐ Project Objectives & Mission
๐ฏ The core mission of the CO MARรA RAFOLS project, coordinated by Cooperativa Sociale Kara Bobowski and Asociaciรณn รGORA CULTURAL, is to enhance the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities. ๐ The project aims to integrate volunteers into the daily routines of the center, allowing them to bring fresh perspectives and energy to the community.
๐ก Volunteers will work alongside professional educators and therapists to provide a stimulating environment for the center’s users. ๐ค By focusing on social inclusion, the project helps break down social barriers and promotes the personal autonomy and dignity of every individual involved. ๐ This collaborative effort ensures that both the volunteers and the local community benefit from a rich intercultural exchange based on solidarity. โค๏ธ
๐ ๏ธ Daily Tasks and Activities
๐ Accommodation and Financial Support
๐๏ธ The volunteer will live in a shared apartment in Requena, a historic town located about 68 kilometers from Valencia. ๐๏ธ The apartment is fully equipped with modern amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi and comfortable common areas, shared with other international volunteers. ๐ This provides a great opportunity to build social connections and practice language skills in a communal living environment. ๐ฃ๏ธ
๐ฐ Financial support is provided by the European Solidarity Corps, covering food, pocket money, and hygiene products. ๐ซ Additionally, travel costs to and from Spain are reimbursed up to the program’s travel limit. ๐ Local transportation between the accommodation in Requena and the volunteer site in Villargordo del Cabriel is also fully covered. โ
๐ Training and Personal Development
๐ Volunteers are not just here to work but to learn. Throughout the project, you will receive on-the-job training related to social work and disability support. ๐ ๏ธ Additionally, you will have access to Spanish language courses to help you integrate better into the local community and perform your tasks effectively. ๐ช๐ธ
๐งฉ The project uses non-formal education methods, encouraging volunteers to take initiative and propose their own small activities or workshops. ๐ก By the end of the mission, you will have gained valuable skills in communication, crisis management, and empathy, which are documented through the Youthpass certificate. ๐

๐ We are looking for someone who is motivated to work with people with intellectual disabilities and is comfortable living in a rural setting. ๐ก Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude are key traits for this role. โค๏ธ While previous experience is not mandatory, a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the center’s users is essential. โ
