๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท ESC Volunteering in France ๐Ÿค European Awareness and Inclusion ๐ŸŒ Rehabilitation Centre, Mulhouse ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท
Are you approachable, committed, and interested in both European project development and inclusive social work with vulnerable people? The Centre de Rรฉadaptation de Mulhouse (CRM) in Alsace, France is looking for ESC volunteers to support their European project activities and contribute to inclusive educational and cultural activities for people with disabilities in a medical and social rehabilitation setting. The role covers two main areas: supporting European project coordination (including Erasmus+ communication, admin, and logistics) and leading inclusive socio-educational and cultural activities. Private studio accommodation, 3 meals per day covered, and a public transport pass provided. No deadline โ€” apply as soon as possible.
๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Did You Know? Mulhouse is a city in the Alsace region of northeastern France โ€” situated at the crossroads of France, Germany, and Switzerland, and known for its distinctive blend of French and Germanic culture. It is home to some of the most remarkable museums in Europe, including the Citรฉ de l’Automobile โ€” the world’s largest automobile museum โ€” and the Citรฉ du Train, the most significant railway museum in France. Its position in the trinational Upper Rhine region makes it one of the most genuinely cross-border cities in the EU.

What Will You Do?

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บSupport the development and coordination of European projects โ€” including Erasmus+ initiatives โ€” through communication support, administrative tasks, and logistical coordination
๐ŸŽจLead and animate inclusive socio-educational and cultural activities for people with disabilities engaged in medical and social rehabilitation pathways
๐ŸคWork directly with a vulnerable target group โ€” people with disabilities in a care and professional training context โ€” contributing to their social inclusion and wellbeing
๐Ÿ“‹Assist with the day-to-day running of European project activities โ€” helping the CRM team deliver on their international commitments and partnership obligations
๐ŸŒContribute to the centre’s mission of European openness โ€” bringing your own international perspective and cultural background into a French rehabilitation and training context
๐Ÿ’ก Did You Know? Centres de Rรฉadaptation (rehabilitation centres) in France combine medical care, professional retraining, and social support into a single integrated pathway โ€” helping people with disabilities, injuries, or chronic conditions rebuild their independence and reintegrate into professional life. The CRM in Mulhouse is one of the leading such centres in the Alsace region, and its active engagement in European projects makes it one of the rare rehabilitation organisations in France that looks explicitly outward to the continent for learning and exchange.

Accommodation, Food & Travel

๐Ÿ Private individual studio accommodation โ€” a genuinely comfortable and independent living arrangement provided by the centre
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ3 meals per day covered by the centre โ€” food is fully taken care of throughout the placement
๐ŸšŒPublic transport pass provided โ€” getting around Mulhouse and the wider Alsace region is fully covered
โœˆ๏ธTravel support provided in accordance with ESC programme rules

Who Can Apply?

๐Ÿ˜ŠYou are approachable, outgoing, and engaged โ€” someone who finds it easy to connect with people and build relationships in a care and rehabilitation environment
๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ทSome knowledge of French is appreciated but not mandatory โ€” the centre welcomes volunteers who are motivated to work in a French-speaking environment even without prior fluency
๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บYou are interested in European project work โ€” particularly Erasmus+ โ€” and want to understand how these programmes are implemented from the inside
๐ŸคYou are committed to inclusion and social solidarity โ€” this is the core mission of the CRM and the central purpose of the volunteering role
