🇹🇷 ESC Volunteering in Türkiye 🎨 Step by Step 🌟 Art, Sports and Youth Work, Tokat 🇹🇷
Are you a creative, dynamic, and open-minded young person looking for an ESC volunteering experience in Türkiye? Tokat Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports is welcoming international volunteers to join their Step by Step project — working with local youth in areas such as art, sports, and informatics, according to each volunteer’s own competences and interests. Volunteers also participate in artistic activities to discover Turkish culture firsthand. Accommodation in the volunteer house is fully provided. No application deadline — apply as soon as possible.
🇹🇷 Did You Know? Tokat is one of Anatolia’s most historically layered cities — it was an important centre of the Silk Road trade routes and served as a key hub during the Ottoman Empire. The city is famous for its distinctive hand-painted fabric art known as Tokat yazması (printed cloth), its well-preserved Ottoman architecture, and a cuisine that is considered one of the richest in the Black Sea region of Türkiye. Volunteering here means living in a city with thousands of years of continuous civilisation beneath your feet.

What Will You Do?

🎨Engage in activities with local youth in your area of competence — art, sports, informatics, or other fields where your skills can directly benefit young people in Tokat
🏅Contribute to sports activities and physical education with local youth — sharing your enthusiasm and skills in a hands-on, active environment
💻Support informatics and digital literacy activities — helping local young people develop practical skills for the future
🎭Participate in artistic activities designed to introduce you to Turkish culture — an immersive learning experience that runs alongside your volunteer work
🌍Bring your own ideas, creativity, and cultural background into the project — volunteers are directed according to their competences and encouraged to contribute their own vision
📚Participate in all trainings organised during the programme period — including Turkish language support provided according to project duration and availability
💡 Did You Know? The ESC (European Solidarity Corps) programme is open not only to EU member states but also to a wide range of neighbouring and partner countries — including Türkiye, where this project is based. This means volunteers from across Europe, the Caucasus, the Western Balkans, and beyond can join ESC projects in Türkiye, making it one of the most internationally diverse destinations available within the programme.
