ESC volunteering opportunity in Peniche, Portugal focused on children’s activities, creativity, and community engagement. Volunteers will support youth work through non-formal education, intercultural activities, and creative workshops while experiencing daily life in a vibrant Portuguese coastal town.

Participants will work with a youth organization active in local community projects and youth initiatives, mainly engaging with children aged 6–12 through leisure activities, games, and creative workshops. The project also encourages volunteers to develop their own small initiatives based on their passions.

🌍 About the Project

The volunteering activity takes place at a youth organization that runs programs for children, young people, and the wider community. The focus is on non-formal education, intercultural exchange, and creative learning.

Volunteers will participate in the CATL leisure activity center, support youth activities, and collaborate with local staff to design engaging experiences for children. The project also connects with environmental and cultural initiatives in the region.

🎯 Volunteer Tasks

🎨 Supporting activities at the CATL children’s activity center

🌍 Organizing intercultural afternoons and presentations about your country

🎭 Preparing and facilitating creative workshops, games, and group activities

📸 Creating content and activities related to culture, creativity, and community

🤝 Supporting local youth and community initiatives

💡 Developing your own personal project based on interests such as photography, theatre, sports, or art

🏠 Accommodation, Food and Financial Support

🏡 Accommodation provided in an apartment or house in Peniche

🛏 Shared or individual rooms with equipped kitchen, shared living room, bathroom, and Wi-Fi

🍽 Volunteers receive a monthly food allowance and personal allowance

🧺 Washing machine available in the accommodation or organization
