Walking Towards Gender Equality is an Erasmus+ Training Course taking place in Cocentaina (Alicante), Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ, bringing together youth workers, youth leaders, educators, and members of youth organisations to critically explore patriarchy, gender inequalities, and feminist perspectives through non-formal education.

The training focuses on analysis, debate, reflection, and practice, supporting participants in developing tools to address gender equality, diversity, and democratic participation in their local youth work contexts.

๐Ÿง  To empower youth workers and youth leaders to challenge patriarchy and promote gender equality and respect for diversity by developing critical understanding of gender-based stereotypes and their impact on individuals and communities, fostering reflective learning, exchanging good practices, and co-creating adaptable non-formal education tools for local contexts.

โš–๏ธ Understand patriarchy as a systemic social structure and its social, cultural, and political impacts
๐Ÿงฉ Critically analyse gender stereotypes through an intersectional perspective
๐Ÿ“š Share and reflect on good practices and educational resources from participating countries
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Strengthen facilitation and safe-space management skills
๐Ÿ“ข Support youth empowerment and the creation of counter-narratives challenging patriarchal norms

โš ๏ธ Mandatory Dissemination Activity
๐Ÿ“Œ Participants are required to plan and implement a dissemination activity after the training in their home countries
๐Ÿ“„ A short report with pictures and description must be submitted
๐Ÿ“† Dissemination must be completed before 15 July 2026
