๐ Project Overview
This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering opportunity takes place in public Primary Schools and Kindergartens on the Greek island of Chios, in Vrontados. Volunteers actively contribute to educational, cultural, environmental, sports, and new technologies activities, working directly with children and educators in a real school environment. The project strongly follows a โlearn by doingโ approach and encourages volunteers to develop both institutional and personal initiatives.

๐งฉ Main Activities and Tasks
๐ซ Supporting daily activities in public Primary Schools and Kindergartens
๐จ Contributing to educational, cultural, creative, and sports activities for children
๐ป Participating in New Technologies projects, including articles, presentations, and digital content
๐ฑ Taking part in environmental awareness and community-related activities
๐๏ธ Creating recordings and articles for the hosting organisationโs internet radio and website
๐ฃ Promoting the European Solidarity Corps by sharing project results online
๐ง Designing and implementing a Personal Project in cooperation with the hosting organisation
๐ก Accommodation, Food and Transport
๐ Shared apartment in a village on Chios Island within walking distance of schools, shops, pharmacy, and beach
๐๏ธ Gender-based shared rooms with other volunteers
๐งน Volunteers are responsible for keeping living and working spaces clean and organised
๐ณ Cooking is organised jointly by volunteers through a weekly schedule
๐ Food is provided by the hosting organisation based on a weekly shopping list prepared by volunteers
๐ Training and Support During the Activity
๐ค Continuous support through non-formal and cooperative learning methods
๐ Training provided by hosting organisation staff and teachers from partner schools
๐งญ Guidance for personal, educational, cultural, technical, and linguistic development
๐ง Ongoing mentoring, problem-solving support, and assistance throughout the project
