This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering opportunity with Creative Art Farm (CAFI) offers a long-term, hands-on experience combining art, sustainability, rural life, and European values in Montepulciano, Italy.

🎂 Aged 18–30
🌍 Resident in an EU Member State (Italy included)
🏡 Ready to live in a rural area and share rooms and common spaces
🗣 Basic level of English
🤝 Open-minded, proactive, flexible, patient, and team-oriented
🌱 Previous experience welcome but not required
♿ Open to young people facing challenging life situations

🎨 Main Activities
🏡 Logistics and space care including preparing and cleaning indoor and outdoor areas, organising shared spaces, light repairs, and creative upcycling
🖌 Creative and cultural support through workshops, language exchanges, open studios, innovative exhibitions using digital technologies, community gatherings, and local events
📱 Communication and digital tasks such as storytelling, short interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and website or social media support
🌱 Sustainability in practice including waste reduction, reuse of materials, eco-friendly routines, and nature-connected creative activities
🍅 Rural daily life with seasonal routines such as collecting firewood, caring for a vegetable garden, harvesting produce, and shared meals
🍽 Culinary experiences focused on Mediterranean cooking with vegetables and legumes and reduced meat consumption
🧠 Non-formal education moments using art and creativity to reflect on sustainability, inclusion, interculturality, and social equality

⏰ Working Hours
🕒 30–38 hours per week for project tasks
🧑‍🏫 Weekly meetings with the activity coordinator and mentor
🏘 Additional 7 hours per week dedicated to shared community responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning
🇮🇹 Optional Italian language course (2 hours per week)

🏡 Shared rooms in Casa Salcheto, a renovated Tuscan farmhouse surrounded by nature
🍽 Food costs fully covered through ESC funding, volunteers cook together
🌿 Mostly vegetarian Mediterranean diet
💶 Pocket money: 6 € per day
🛡 Health insurance provided (Henner)
✈️ Travel costs reimbursed according to ESC distance bands, with higher support for green travel
