๐ Project Overview
This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Individual Volunteering opportunity offers 11 different volunteering placements across Denmark ๐ฉ๐ฐ, coordinated by AFS Interkultur. The projects are designed for young people who want to live in Denmark, gain hands-on experience, and actively contribute to education, sustainability, youth work, culture, community life, and intercultural learning. Volunteers will join schools, youth centres, cultural organisations, environmental initiatives, and international teams, developing both personal and professional competences in a safe, inclusive, and international environment.
๐ฏ Volunteering Activities
Depending on the placement, volunteers may be involved in:
๐ Supporting educational and school-based activities
๐ฑ Participating in sustainability and environmental projects
๐จ Assisting cultural, creative, and community initiatives
๐งโ๐คโ๐ง Working with young people in youth centres and learning spaces
๐ Contributing to intercultural learning, events, and workshops
๐ ๏ธ Taking part in practical, creative, and hands-on daily tasks
๐ก Developing own ideas and initiatives with organisational support
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Transport
๐ Accommodation arranged by AFS Interkultur
๐ฝ๏ธ Food covered
๐ก๏ธ Health insurance included
๐ถ Monthly allowance of 380 โฌ
โ๏ธ International travel covered according to EU distance rules (higher for green travel)
๐ Local transport covered, including commuting to the project and language classes
๐ Training & Support During the Activity
๐ Continuous on-the-job training and mentoring by AFS Interkultur
๐ฃ๏ธ Danish language classes during working hours
๐ English used at the beginning of the project
๐งญ Participation in ESC On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Training
๐ Regular planning, evaluation meetings, and intercultural learning sessions
๐ค Participant Profile
๐ Aged 18โ30
๐ Strong interest in intercultural learning and volunteering
๐ฃ๏ธ Good level of English and motivation to learn Danish
๐ป Basic digital skills and organisational abilities
๐ค Comfortable with communication and public speaking
๐ค Flexible, responsible, and open to occasional evening or weekend activities
โจ Motivation and attitude are more important than previous experience
