๐ฑ Project Overview
This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Individual Volunteering opportunity takes place in Gdynia, Poland ๐ต๐ฑ and focuses on inclusive education, social integration, and creative learning. Volunteers support an alternative primary school environment where education is seen as a tool for social change, inclusion, and personal development, especially for children with special needs.
๐ฏ Volunteering Activities
Volunteers will work in small, supportive teams and be involved in:
๐ฒ Creating integration and energising games for children
๐จ Organising creative workshops and educational activities
๐ฉโ๐ซ Supporting teachers during classes
๐ค Working with children with special needs (e.g. autism, visual impairment, health-related challenges)
๐ Teaching languages and intercultural activities
๐๏ธ Supporting charity events and community initiatives
All tasks are adapted to volunteersโ skills, interests, and creativity.
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Community Life
๐ Volunteers live in shared flats across different districts of Gdynia
๐ Part of a large international ESC community of around 35 volunteers
๐ค Supported by local mentors and integrated into neighbourhood centres, libraries, NGOs, and youth spaces
๐ Local transport and daily life organised within the volunteer community
๐ Learning & Support
๐ง Daily learning through non-formal and inclusive education practice
๐ค Supervision by the schoolโs pedagogist
๐ฑ Strong focus on creativity, independence, patience, and innovative educational methods
