This Erasmus+ Training Course takes place in Norway ๐ณ๐ด and focuses on strengthening the role of youth workers in promoting mental health, wellbeing, and resilience among young people. The training approaches mental health from a promotion and prevention perspective, fully aligned with youth work values and practices โ not therapy or clinical intervention.

Participants will:
๐ง Clarify what mental health means for themselves and in youth work contexts
๐ฃ Raise awareness of the importance of mental health in youth work
๐ค Understand the role and responsibility of youth workers in promoting wellbeing
๐ ๏ธ Develop practical skills to support young peopleโs mental health
๐ Explore tools, approaches, and resources adaptable to youth work organisations
๐ Reflect on everyday youth work practices
๐ Strengthen the capacity to create inclusive, supportive, and stigma-free environments

The training highlights mental health from a preventive and promotional angle, clearly distinguishing youth work from:

๐ซ Clinical or medical treatment
Instead, the focus is on emotional wellbeing, resilience, inclusion, and supportive relationships in youth work settings.

This training is open to:
๐ฅ Youth workers working directly with young people on a regular basis
๐ง Practitioners interested in strengthening competencies related to mental health
๐ Participants able to apply learning in their daily youth work practice
๐ค Youth workers willing to share experiences and good practices
๐ฑ Individuals curious about emotional wellbeing and resilience of young people
