๐ About the Volunteering Opportunity
This European Solidarity Corps volunteering project takes place in ล ibenik, Croatia, and is hosted by Konjiฤki Klub Kolan โ Udruga za aktivnosti i terapiju pomoฤu konja. The project combines therapeutic horse riding for children with disabilities with sustainable farm life and animal care, offering a deeply meaningful and hands-on volunteering experience.
Two volunteers will join a multicultural team and contribute to activities that promote social inclusion, health and wellbeing, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability. The project provides a unique opportunity to grow personally and professionally while making a real impact in the local community.
๐งฉ Main Activities & Tasks
๐ด Assisting in preparing horses for therapeutic riding sessions
๐ง Supporting therapy activities for children with disabilities
๐ Caring for animals including horses, donkeys, llamas, and others
๐ฟ Maintaining the farm and outdoor spaces
โป๏ธ Learning and applying ecological practices such as composting and water conservation
๐ค Working in a supportive, empathetic, and team-oriented environment
๐ Accommodation, Food & Transport
๐ก Accommodation provided by the hosting organisation
๐ฝ๏ธ Food allowance provided according to ESC rules
๐ถ Monthly pocket money provided
๐ Travel arrangements covered in line with European Solidarity Corps regulations
๐ Training & Support
๐ญ๐ท Participation in the On-Arrival Training organised by the Croatian National Agency
๐ Accommodation and travel costs for the training fully covered
๐ฅ Continuous informal support and learning through daily activities on the farm
