🌍 About the Project
YOU FUTURE is a European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Team Volunteering project implemented by SORGUN GENCLIK DERNEGI in Sorgun, Yozgat, Türkiye. This short-term team project brings together young people from different countries to focus on disaster preparedness, climate change, post-disaster recovery, and community resilience, while actively engaging with the local community.

During the project, volunteers will not only receive intensive training but will also transform their learning into real community actions, awareness campaigns, and educational activities for children, young people, and adults.

🎯 Main Activities
🚨 Training on disaster preparedness and post-disaster response
🌱 Workshops on climate change and environmental protection
🏘️ Community resilience and awareness-raising activities
🎓 Organising trainings, events, and campaigns for local communities
🤝 Team-based volunteering with an international group
🌍 Strengthening intercultural dialogue and cooperation

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Financial Support
🏡 Shared apartment in Sorgun with double rooms, bathrooms, and a shared kitchen
📶 Internet access and basic household equipment provided
💶 €6 per day pocket money
🍽️ €6 per day food allowance
✈️ Travel costs reimbursed according to ESC distance rules

🎓 Training & Learning Experience
📚 Trainings on disaster preparedness, climate change, and post-disaster recovery
🧭 Workshops, seminars, field visits, and group activities
🗣️ Learning-by-doing through community trainings and public campaigns
🤝 Continuous support from the hosting organisation throughout the project

✔️ Aged 18–30
✔️ Culturally engaged, creative, active, and open-minded

✔️ Able to communicate in English
