๐Ÿ“š About the Partnership-Building Activity
Taking place in Szeged, HungaryCARE โ€“ Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing through Quality Youth Work brings together 40 youth workers and organisations to co-create tools, strengthen mental-health-related competences, and build long-term partnerships.
The PBA addresses Youth Goal 5: Mental Health & Wellbeing, focusing on practical, ready-to-use methods and intersectoral cooperation with schools, social services, health professionals and municipalities.

๐ŸŒŸ Themes & Learning Focus
This PBA strengthens youth workersโ€™ ability to support young peopleโ€™s mental health through:

  • Shared understanding of mental health, wellbeing, and self-care
  • Mindfulness & embodiment routines for stress regulation
  • Fightโ€“flightโ€“freeze responses & co-regulation strategies
  • Creating safe spaces, boundaries & trauma-aware facilitation
  • Nonviolent Communication (NVC) for dialogue & conflict transformation
  • Coaching mindset & GROW model for motivation and goal-setting
  • Intersectoral cooperation with schools, services & municipalities
  • Building a practical mental-health method pack for youth work
  • Preparing follow-up Erasmus+ projects (KA152, KA153, KA210, KA220)

The PBA aims to create a sustainable partner network committed to strengthening youth mental health through everyday youth work practice.

๐ŸŽฏ Expected Learning Outcomes
By the end of the PBA, participants will be able to:

  • Define concepts of mental health & identify local priority needs
  • Facilitate daily check-ins & short mindfulness/embodiment routines
  • Identify fightโ€“flightโ€“freeze signs & apply co-regulation strategies
  • Set boundaries using youth-friendly communication methods
  • Deliver a 60-minute NVC micro-workshop & mediate peer conflicts
  • Create inclusive safe-space agreements adapted for fewer-opportunity youth
  • Map local stakeholders & draft a simple referral flow
  • Design a micro-pilot wellbeing initiative to implement at home
  • Contribute to future Erasmus+ cooperation projects

The PBA uses a non-formal, experiential, and peer-driven approach, including:

  • Community-building rituals, daily check-ins & mindful warm-ups
  • Experiential labs, role-play, theatre of situations, simulations
  • Method co-creation workshops (NVC, GROW, boundaries, embodiment)
  • Partnership design studios: world cafรฉ, fishbowl, stakeholder mapping
  • Micro-pilot planning & Open Space practice exchange
  • Reflection groups, learning diaries & Youthpass integration

  • 2 youth workers per organisation
  • Working directly with youth, especially fewer-opportunity groups
  • Experience in Erasmus+ youth projects
  • Motivated to co-create & implement wellbeing practices
  • Able to cooperate with schools/services & build partnerships
  • Available for the full duration & able to work in English
  • Eligible for Erasmus+ funding
