🔬 ALTA Performance Materials invites highly motivated MSc-level students to join its Product Development Team in Porvoo, Finland — a global hub for cutting-edge composite materials.
🌍 As a leading producer of unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy-vinyl ester systems, and gelcoats, ALTA develops high-performance solutions used in wind energy, marine, automotive, and industrial applications.
🚀 This internship offers full immersion into real R&D projects dedicated to innovation, safety improvements, and next-generation resin technologies.

What You Will Work On
🧪 Research & formulation of advanced thermoset systems (UP resins, VE resins, gelcoats)
🧬 Designing experiments, testing hypotheses, and performing root-cause analysis
⚗️ Preparing resin systems, specimen coupons, and conducting analytical testing
📊 Collecting and interpreting data, characterizing chemical and physical properties
🧰 Hands-on laboratory work with mixers, reactors, analytical instruments
📚 Documenting results clearly and presenting findings to the R&D team
💡 Proposing technical improvements and implementation strategies

Required Profile
🎓 Background in polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields
📘 Enrolled in / recently graduated from an MSc programme
🧠 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and experimental design skills
🔍 Detail-oriented, structured working style, curiosity-driven
🤝 Able to work independently and within a collaborative technical team
