๐ About the Opportunity
This ESC project takes place in the peaceful rural environment of Normandy ๐ซ๐ท and is hosted by DโEcouves Verte, a non-formal education association dedicated to creativity, community engagement, and cultural openness. Volunteers will experience village life while supporting local youth, participating in community events, organising creative workshops, helping in schools, contributing to intercultural activities, and even developing their own personal projects. The hosting team is friendly, supportive and ready to welcome volunteers who want to immerse themselves in nature, culture and meaningful community work.

๐ฑ๐จ Main Activities
Volunteers can take part in a wide range of flexible and creative activities, including:
โจ Leading workshops for young people (arts, environment, culture, languages)
โ Animating a language cafรฉ
๐ Creating educational materials
๐ช Supporting local events, festivals and community initiatives
๐ซ Helping in schools and youth structures
๐ Promoting intercultural dialogue and cultural openness
๐ Participating in youth exchanges or residential programmes
๐ก Developing a personal project that reflects your interests and passions
New ideas are welcome โ volunteers actively shape their experience.
๐ก Accommodation, Food & Transport
Volunteers live in an alternative collective house in central Alenรงon ๐ซ๐ท, with:
๐๏ธ Private bedrooms
๐ฝ๏ธ Shared common spaces
๐ฟ A creative and friendly environment
๐ A car available for missions and occasional personal use
Financial conditions:
๐ธ 248 EUR/month pocket money
โ๏ธ ESC travel grant according to distance band
๐ฑ Additional green-travel bonus may apply
๐ Schedule, Support & Training
Working rhythm:
๐ School period: MondayโThursday, 9:00โ16:00
๐ School holidays: MondayโFriday, 9:00โ18:30

Occasional weekend involvement for events or preparation
โบ Possible multi-day activities (youth exchanges, camps)
๐๏ธ 2 days off per month
Each volunteer has a trained Mentor for monthly individual and group support.
