✨ Project Overview

Take part in a dynamic volunteering experience at Roter Baum Berlin, working in the Mobile Youth Center (MAHE)— a creative hub on wheels that brings youth activities to local communities and international cooperation projects. 🚐✨

As a volunteer, you’ll help organise and deliver fun, inclusive, and educational workshops designed to empower young people through creativity, sports, crafts, cooking, and social learning.

💡 What You’ll Do

• 🧑‍🎨 Organise creative and artistic workshops (crafts, painting, design)
• ⚽ Lead sports and outdoor activities for kids and teens
• 🍳 Support cooking and life-skill sessions in the mobile youth centre
• 🧠 Participate in educational and intercultural learning workshops
• 🤝 Build trust and meaningful connections with young people in the community
• 🌍 Contribute to international youth cooperation and project development

Through these experiences, you’ll develop teamwork, adaptability, and leadership skills — and gain valuable insight into how youth organisations work on the ground.

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Allowance

• Private bedroom in a shared apartment near the project site
• Fully equipped kitchen, central heating, Wi-Fi, and shared living spaces
• Monthly grant (€500) covering pocket money, food, and local transport
• Public transport ticket for Berlin included + optional bike access
• Supportive working environment with flexibility for project schedules

🎓 Training & Support

• Access to Online Linguistic Support (OLS) for German language learning
• Option to attend two in-person German language courses during the year
• Participation in On-arrival and Mid-term trainings organised by the German National Agency
• Continuous guidance and mentorship from Roter Baum Berlin staff
• Regular reflection meetings and personal support throughout the activity

👤 Who Can Apply

We are looking for motivated and adaptable volunteers (aged 18–30) who are:

• Interested in youth work, creativity, and community development
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Open to learning about project management and social engagement
• Flexible with working hours (afternoon activities are common)
• Skilled in English (basic German appreciated)
• Curious, creative, and ready to grow in an intercultural environment

Experience in sports, design, or creative work is welcome but not required — enthusiasm and initiative are what matter most!
