📖 Project Description

La Comunità, a social cooperative active in Genoa since 1979, works to support children and families in fragile contexts by providing educational, cultural, and social services.

As a volunteer, you will:

• 🎒 Support educators with children’s daily commitments (school pickups, homework help, creative workshops, sports, outdoor activities)
• 🍽️ Share meals and help manage common spaces
• 👨‍👩‍👧 Work with families during crisis situations
• 🎭 Contribute to recreational and intercultural activities

This role is ideal for someone passionate about youth work, inclusion, and education, ready to make a meaningful impact.

🏠 Accommodation & Meals

• 🏡 Shared apartment in Genoa (double/triple rooms)
• 💶 Pocket money: €6 per day
• 🍴 Food provided or food allowance included
• 🚍 Travel reimbursement according to ESC rules

🎓 Training & Support

• 🧭 On-arrival, mid-term & final evaluation training (Italian National Agency)
• 🤝 Additional training with P.E.CO. and other ESC volunteers in Genoa
• 📚 Specific training for work with children & families
• 🏅 Youthpass certificate recognizing competences

👤 Participant Profile

We are looking for volunteers who are:

• 👩‍🎓 Aged 20–30, available for 6 months
• ✨ Mature, autonomous, patient, and creative
• 🧑‍🏫 Motivated to support children and youth from complex family backgrounds
• 💡 Possessing strong communication & interpersonal skills
• 🌍 Open to intercultural exchange and teamwork
