Since 1968, Clarecare has been at the heart of community life in County Clare โ providing care for older people, family support, and addiction treatment services across the west of Ireland. This ESC placement is an opportunity to become part of that work, contributing to the daily life of their Day Care Centres while gaining real, hands-on experience in healthcare and community support.
Clarecare CLG is looking for an ESC volunteer to support their Intergenerational Health Care project โ working directly at one of their four Day Care Centres in County Clare, Ireland. The placement is open to participants from France, Germany, and Italy only.
What Is This Role About?
Clarecare recognises the value of cultural exchange and cross-border cooperation in addressing shared societal challenges. As an ESC volunteer, you will contribute to their intergenerational and older person care work โ supporting daily activities, assisting with meal distribution, helping with transport, and bringing new energy and perspectives to a community-driven environment that is actively open to innovation and new ideas.
Activities
๐ก Volunteering at a Day Care Centre โ supporting the daily life and activities of older people in County Clare
๐ฝ๏ธ Assisting with the distribution of nutritious meals โ a crucial part of the Day Care service
๐ Supporting as a bus assistant for transport to and from the centre
๐๏ธ Contributing to activity and exercise planning and implementation for Day Care participants
๐ Bringing cultural exchange and international perspective into a community-focused Irish care environment
๐ก Contributing new ideas and digital skills to Clarecare’s community impact work
