High Andean forests. Native kewiรฑa trees. Community nurseries run by local women. And a volunteer role that sits at the sharp edge of climate action โ€” because protecting these forests means protecting the watersheds that entire communities depend on for water. ASPEm is offering an ESC Humanitarian Aid Volunteering placement in Cochabamba, Bolivia, as part of the AVCA Project (Amplifying the Voice for Climate Action), in partnership with Armonรญa โ€” one of Bolivia’s leading conservation organisations.

๐Ÿ”๏ธ About the Project

The project focuses on ecological restoration and reforestation in the high Andean forests around Tiquipaya, near Cochabamba. The work is grounded in community participation โ€” including collaboration with local women in community nurseries โ€” and combines practical fieldwork with environmental education, school exchanges, and knowledge sharing about native plants and ecosystem conservation.
