🌍 About the Project

Since 1979, La Comunità has been working to prevent distress among minors and support fragile families in Genoa. The cooperative runs socio-educational, cultural, and animation services, including a daily educational center (CED) for minors living in high-risk contexts.

🌟 Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in educational and training activities for children and young people.
• Support socio-educational programs aimed at combating distress in minors.
• Engage in cultural and creative activities to foster development and resilience.
• Provide mentorship and assistance to children from complex family situations.

🛋 Accommodation, Food, and Transport

🏠 Accommodation:

• Shared apartment in Genoa with double/triple rooms.

🍴 Allowance:

• 6 EUR/day for pocket money and food, or a food allowance.

✈️ Travel Expenses:

• Reimbursed according to European Commission guidelines.

📚 Training and Support

• Training Opportunities:
  • On-arrival, mid-term, and final evaluation sessions organized by the Italian National Agency.
  • Additional training provided by P.E.CO. in collaboration with other Genoa-based organizations.
• Specific training on working with the target group of minors from high-risk contexts.

👥 Participant Profile

We’re looking for volunteers aged 24–30 years old who:

• Are autonomous, mature, and responsible.
• Are motivated to support educational activities and work with minors.
• Possess qualities like patience, tolerance, creativity, firmness, and strong communication skills.
• Can handle delicate roles involving young people from complex family situations.
