An ESC Individual Volunteering opportunity is open in Tartu, Estonia, hosted by Tartu Noorsootรถรถ Keskus (Tartu Youth Work Center). The project โVolunteering as a Pathway to Solidarityโ brings together three international volunteers to strengthen solidarity in society, with a special focus on young people.
Each volunteer will be assigned a โhomeโ youth center in Tartu, where they will spend most of their working time, actively engaging with local youth and supporting community-based initiatives.

๐ฏ Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Volunteers will contribute to daily youth work activities and community engagement, including:
๐จ Leading at least one club based on personal interests and youth center themes (e.g. cooking club, adventure club, creative activities)
๐ฅ Supporting youth workers with daily tasks and youth programs
๐ฌ Initiating small-scale events such as cultural evenings, movie nights or thematic activities
๐๏ธ Participating twice a week in meetings with the project manager to help organise city-wide youth events in Tartu

Organising one weekly activity or club for the community in their youth center district
The project encourages initiative, creativity and active participation, allowing volunteers to design and implement activities aligned with their skills and interests.
๐ Accommodation and Financial Conditions
๐ก Three volunteers will share an apartment in Tartu or live separately
๐ถ Food allowance and ESC pocket money provided according to programme rules

Tartu Youth Work Center is looking for volunteers who:
โ Are 18โ30 years old
โ Show strong motivation for personal development through volunteering
โ Are open-minded, flexible and proactive
โ Are willing to discover Estonian culture and traditions
โ Are interested in learning or improving a foreign language
โ Are motivated to work with young people and engage in community life
