๐งญ About the Volunteering Opportunity
Humanitarian Volunteer Gender and Protection is an European Solidarity Corps Humanitarian Aid individual volunteering opportunity implemented by Acciรณn contra el Hambre in Manila, Philippines. The project focuses on integrating gender equality and protection principles into humanitarian and development programming. Volunteers will work closely with technical teams, field staff, and partners to mainstream gender-transformative approaches, identify protection risks, and strengthen inclusive humanitarian responses across different country bases.

To strengthen gender equality, protection mainstreaming, and inclusive humanitarian programming through professional-level volunteering within humanitarian aid operations.
๐งฉ Volunteer Tasks and Activities
โ๏ธ Support gender and protection mainstreaming in humanitarian programmes
๐ Conduct gender analysis and identify protection risks
๐ Draft practical Gender Action Plans for country bases
๐ค Work with technical teams, partners, and field staff
๐ Support consultations, data collection, and knowledge management
๐ Contribute to capacity building activities on gender and protection
๐ Participate in field visits when security conditions allow
๐ค Participant Profile
๐ Background or strong knowledge in gender equality and protection
๐ Ability to conduct assessments and gender or protection analysis
๐ง High analytical and reporting capacity
๐ป Strong computer and IT skills
๐ฃ๏ธ Effective communication, facilitation, and synthesis skills
โ๏ธ Familiarity with gender frameworks used by donors
๐ฏ Aged 18โ35
๐ Resident in an eligible country
๐ Completed compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training
๐ซ No previous participation in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering
โณ Total EU volunteering duration must not exceed 12 months
