✨ About the Project:
Get ready for a hands-on experience in nature! This project involves outdoor volunteering in Northern Portugal’s rural village, focusing on environmental protection and promoting heritage.
🌳 Tasks Include:
- Creating and maintaining pedestrian trails 🥾
- Clearing invasive plants and replacing them with native species 🌱
- River plogging and litter cleanup ♻️
- Promoting local historical and patrimonial heritage 🏰
- Documenting wildlife and landscapes with trapping cameras 📸
- Cooking for the group and keeping the venue clean 🍳
⚠️ Note: Most activities will take place outdoors in natural settings, regardless of weather conditions.
👥 Who Can Apply?
- Aged 18–30
- Practical, hands-on, and motivated individuals who enjoy teamwork
- Open-minded and adaptable
- Experience in cooking for groups or outdoor work is a plus!
🏠 Accommodation & Benefits:
- Pocket Money: €6/day
- Accommodation: A deactivated fire station with basic facilities (shared spaces, showers, kitchen, Wi-Fi may be limited).
- Meals: Food provided; participants will take turns cooking for the group.
- Travel Costs: Covered by the ESC Program.
